Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy sets out the rules governing how SafeKid AI may be used. It applies to all users including EdTech administrators, school staff, parents, and API consumers.
2. Permitted Uses
- Content safety analysis for educational AI tools
- Student safeguarding monitoring by authorised school staff
- Parental oversight of their own child's AI interactions
- Compliance evidence generation and regulatory reporting
- API integration for content moderation in EdTech products
3. Prohibited Uses
You must not:
- Use the platform to monitor individuals without proper legal authority
- Submit content designed to reverse-engineer or circumvent our safety models
- Share API keys or account credentials with unauthorised persons
- Use the service for purposes unrelated to child safety or education
- Attempt to access data belonging to other organisations or users
- Use automated tools to scrape, harvest, or extract data from the platform
- Misrepresent your identity, role, or affiliation
- Use the platform in any way that violates applicable law, including the Data Protection Act 2018, the Online Safety Act 2023, or the Computer Misuse Act 1990
4. API Rate Limits & Fair Use
API consumers must respect documented rate limits. Excessive usage that degrades service for other customers may result in temporary throttling or suspension. We will notify you before taking action where reasonably practicable.
5. Safeguarding Responsibilities
School users are reminded that SafeKid AI is a supplementary tool. It does not replace the professional judgement of Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) or the statutory safeguarding framework. All safeguarding concerns must be handled through your institution's established procedures.
6. Enforcement
Violations of this policy may result in warning, suspension, or termination of your account. Serious violations may be reported to relevant authorities. We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations and to take appropriate action.
7. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this policy, please report it to abuse@safekidai.co.uk.
